Funny that I posted about Baby weight Gain all the way back in November... the midwife
Did do a home visit yesterday, and bump was measuring small again- well, no growth since last week. Again, I'm not too fussed as I'm petite anyways but I don't really want to be sent for another growth scan re it as last time the sonographer said everything was fine...
Kindof waiting in for another delivery today; John Lewis @ a summer weight duvet for our bed and a
Tummy Tub baby bath ! I saw them in store when we went pram shopping and thought "that's just a bucket" but then I looked at their webpage & the comments about "uses less water" (oh, the
duvet is made from recycled materials too!), easy to handle/ carry even when full, babies are warmer for longer in the water because the waters up to their shoulders swung it for me. I love having baths, and so will my baby mwahahahahah!
In fact last night I had a bath and I tried out a new product: Lush's
King of Skin Body Butter. This was a present from a friend. I've not used one of these before so like most Lush products wasn't sure what to expect/ was grateful for instructions on the package.
It is a Body Conditioner- like a hair conditioner i.e. wash your body with soap, rinse, apply the King of Skin, rinse and get out & dry off. I like the idea of it as being almost full term (36w +6 today) I enjoy pampering my poor stretched skin & like most women would apply anything if it said it would help prevent/ lessen stretch marks. The bar felt very melty when I rubbed it on, and everything became rather slippery... The main ingredients are cocoa butter & shea butter so a bit like their massage bars (which I have tried before) but I think using the Body Conditioner in the environment of the bathroom means that they warm up to melting temperature a lot quicker. Overall I was slightly concerned about the safety aspect of getting so slippery; also I didn't feel that I really rinsed the product off - I felt that I would have needed to wash again to get rid of the 'greasy' feel on my skin, and I wondered if the bath tub is now a slippery death trap awaiting DH to take his morning shower... Fragrance wise I picked up a liquorice smell which doesn't seem to fit any of the listed ingredients, but I am glad that it didn't reek of banana
EDIT; Jerry did mention that the bath tub was like an ice-rink when he took a shower after I'd used the Body Conditioner bar... maybe not a 'keeper'
